Quit Smoking for You and Those Who Love You

Smoking is one of the worst health habits that people can develop. Studies have shown that approximately 20 percent of adults smoke on a regular basis. The number of people smoking has decreased in the past few years, but that number still remains too high. Smoking can lead to high blood pressure, heart disease, lung cancer and stroke. It is also important to note that secondhand smoke is also dangerous. Researchers have found that people who inhale secondhand smoke often same the same health effects as those who smoke.

The good news is that many people have been able to successfully quit smoking. Those who quit smoking not only help themselves, but they also help the ones that they love. Smoking is something that can take ten years of of a person’s life. People who stop smoking will be able to live longer, healthier lives. Additionally, those who quit smoking will also be improving the health of their loved ones.

Smoking cessation is not easy, but it is worth making the try. There are no benefits and only risks involved with smoking. The best thing that smokers can do for themselves and their family is make the effort to put the cigarettes down.
